A few years ago, during one of my stays in Brittany, I discovered an interesting new product: butter with sea salt crystals. Clearly, Brittany is known for its salted butter, but the inclusion of coarse salt crystals brings a delightful crunchiness to regular salted butter.
The great news is that you can actually buy such butter in the US. Indeed Vermont Creamery offers a sea salt crystal cultured butter log. I have yet to taste and see if it has as much crunchiness as the original Brittany version!
My favorite use for it: a slice of country bread and some fresh mild radishes!
